A Story of Resilience, The Story of Our Hometown

It’s now been one full year since the devastating Camp Fire destroyed our close-knit community. It took a total of 85 lives and destroyed more than 13,900 homes, 500 businesses, and other buildings.

To remember the struggles and perseverance many of us faced that day, I would like to recount the story of Susan (alias). Susan was a nurse at a local senior and rehabilitation facility in Paradise. She was working early the morning the Camp Fire struck town. That morning, Susan saw a bit of smoke, but within the hour the situation became critical and they began evacuating patients. She helped assisted 3 people into her SUV and headed out. Unfortunately while driving through the flames, Susan got a flat tire and was in a panic in a supermarket car park. Fortunately, a passerby helped her change the flat and Susan was able to get on her way and bring along the 3 elderly patients riding with her.

The fires destroyed our town but it has not defeated our spirits! This campaign we want to establish our continued commitment to the families and brave firefights and first responders who fight every single day for the well being of people in our community. Join us as we help those affected and the brave heroes who put themselves in harm’s way during emergency situations!

When you recommend someone to us for a quote, we offer to donate $10 to help firefighters, first responders and the communities they are sworn to protect. Yes, and that is for EACH friend. How many friends do you have? Do the math!

They only need to receive a quote – there is no obligation to purchase.

Getting involved has never been so simple – or Free!
